Meet Dr. Beard

Anthony Beard, DDS

I joined the dental field because I love to help people. It is very rewarding to improve my patients’ lives by getting them out of pain, improving their smiles, giving them the boost of confidence only a beautiful smile can provide.

Education and Experience

I graduated from Smith Cotton High School and am happy to have returned to Sedalia to open my practice. Before dental school I spent almost 10 years as an Intelligence Officer in the Army National Guard and as the program director for International Language Programs, a non-profit organization that taught children English in Russia and China. My dental education was received at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Dental School where I earned my Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

I believe in constantly improving my skills and knowledge by taking continuing education classes. My current focus of learning is oral surgery and orthodontics. By actively participating in continuing education, I am able to stay current on the latest technology and dental treatments. My patients deserve the best, and continuing education allows me to provide my patients with more options and better results.

Outside the Office

My wife, Katie, and I have five wonderful children, Brinton, Ethan, Elizabeth, Jordan, and Tyler. My free time is spent with them, whether we’re jumping on the trampoline, playing a game of family soccer, or just hanging out. I also enjoy diving, singing, and playing the guitar, piano, and organ. I currently volunteer with the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, and coach Paul Klover Soccer.
